Two Unique swarn palkis (Golden Palanquins).

Shobha Yatra of Swarn Palki from Phagwara to Dera Sachkhand Ballan, 14 Feb, 2007
Dera Sach Khand Ballan (Jallandhar) is famous for Sewa-Satsang-Simran and spreading Guru Ravidass Mission the world over. Sant Sarwan Dass Ji- the pioneer of the Dera, after due research and by his sight located birthplace of Guru Ravidass Ji at Seer Govardhanpur, near Banaras Hindu university, Varanasi. He built an impressive 7-storey Mandir at the sacred place.
Shri Guru Ravidass Satsang Bhawan has been built at Dera Sant Sarwan Dass Ji Sach Khand Bal. This prestigious project had been sponsored by the Birmingham Sangat. The Birmimgham Sangat also offered to collectively donate a Swarn Palki. Golden Palki was prepared. The Palki was decided to be taken from Phagwara in a procession and installed at Shri Guru Ravidass Satsang Bhawan on 14th February, 2007. The sacred Palki was placed on a fully decorated vehicle. A portrait of Guru Ravidass Ji was placed in it. The procession started from Guru Ravidass Mandir Hadiabad, Phagwara at 10.00 a.m. under the patronage of Sant Niranjan Dass Ji and passed through Chak Hakim, Kashi Nagar, Chaheru,Jallandar Cantt. PAP Chowk, Bootan Mandi, Dr. Ambedkar Chowk, Football chowk, Ram Nagar, DAV College, Maksudan, Reru Chowk, Sarmastpur and reached Dera Sachkhand Bal. Rousing reception was accorded to the sacred Palki by the sangat at every stoppage. A long caravan of devotees and decorated vehicles followed the vehicle carrying the palanquin. The holy Palki was installed in Shri Guru Ravidass Satsang Bhawan on 15th February, 2007 – the inauguration day of the Bhawan.

Ever since the shobha yatra of golden palanquin from Phagwara to Sachkhand Bal on 14th February, 2007 the youth of Europe who had emigrated from Punjab also cherished to donate Swarn Palki for Guru Ravidass Janam Asthan Mandir Varanasi. Sant Niranjan Dass Ji agreed to their desire and blessed them.
The Swarn Palki was ready by January, 2008. Maharaj Ji agreed to take the Palki to Varanasi in a unique and big procession by road with stoppages at suitable places and night stay at Ambala, Delhi, Kanpur so that the sangat could have darshan of the holy Pallki easily.
Holy Swarn Palki was placed in a tastefully decorated newly built bus with glass fitted allround. Accordingly, procession of Swarn Palki started under the patronage of Sant Niranjan Dass Ji on 16th February, 2008 and reached Shri Guru Ravidass Janam Asthan Mandir, Varanasi on 20th February, 2008. It was followed by hundreds of decorated vehicles. Rousing reception was accorded to the holy Palki everywhere on the lengthy route. Sangat from distant places thronged to have darshan of the relic. The U.P. Government provided escort and police protection to the procession. It was indeed an unforgettable event in the history of Guru Ravidass Mission. Holy Swarn Palki was unveiled by Behan Mayawati Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 21st February, 2008 – the Guru Ravidass Jyanti Day. The holy palki has been installed in the first floor the Mandir and a portrait of Guru Ravidass Ji has been placed in it. There is a regular flow of pilgrims to the temple to have darshan of the unique swarn palki (golden palanquin).
